Every car should have an emergency kit and this is even more important in severe weather. Your emergency gummy worm stash is a good start; now you just have build on it.
Basic Car Kit
- Cell phone and charger – don’t use it while driving!
- Water/snacks -- gummy worms and other non-perishables
- Flashlight and batteries -- LEDs are great
- Thermal blanket
- Boots/gloves/hat
- First-aid kit
- Ice scraper/snow brush
- Jumper cables
- Roadside-assistance membership
- Spare tire
Nice to have
- Multipurpose tool/knife
- Collapsible shovel
- Poncho
- Duct tape
- Roadside flares/reflective triangle
- Bungie Cords
- Rags
- Antifreeze
What else should go in an emergency car kit? Does your car have one?
